This is a very cool mountain bike. The pedals work. It is so real looking it reminds me of the ones we used to ride up to the mountains outside of town. There was a pipe on the side of the road that had cold mountain water running out of it. It was the purest water I ever had. It took us awhile to get there but it was worth it. Our mountain bikes were really pushed to the limits on the Summit Mountain. Bert
